When most people think of roofing, they imagine shingles and ladders — but commercial roofing is a different world. At C&R Roofing, our crews work on massive flat roofs that can span the size of football fields. Every day on the job takes planning, precision, and teamwork.
Here’s what a typical day looks like when we’re out protecting your property:
☀️ 6:30 AM – Early Start and Safety First
Our crews begin early to beat the heat. Before a single tool comes out, we conduct a full safety briefing, review the site plan, and double-check all personal protective equipment (PPE). OSHA compliance isn’t optional — it’s foundational.
🧰 7:15 AM – Material Staging and Tear-Off
Once the team is set, it’s time to move materials to the roof. That means rolls of TPO or EPDM, insulation boards, adhesives, tools, and safety rails.
If the project includes a tear-off, we start removing old membrane sections in phases — keeping everything clean, organized, and safe.
🔥 10:00 AM – Membrane Work and Detail Areas
Once the surface is prepped, the crew begins installing the new system. This might include:
🔹 Fully adhered or mechanically fastened membrane
🔹 Sealing penetrations and HVAC curbs
🔹 Installing insulation layers
Details matter most here. Flashing around skylights, vents, and edges must be watertight to keep your building leak-free.
🧽 1:00 PM – Quality Control and Final Walkthrough
Every C&R project includes a detailed inspection before we wrap up for the day. We check seam welds, verify drainage slopes, and confirm every detail against the project scope.
Our foremen take photos and notes throughout the process — giving you a digital record of progress and completion.
💬 Communication Every Step of the Way
You’ll never be left guessing. We keep property managers informed with updates, photos, and any scheduling notes. We know your business doesn’t stop — and we work to stay out of the way.
🧑🔧 Why It Matters
A commercial roof isn’t just a cover — it’s your first line of defense against weather and energy loss. With the right team, installation can happen quickly and cleanly without disrupting your business.
At C&R Roofing, we take pride in doing things the right way — even when no one’s watching.
